How much CO₂ do you actually need to recycle cardboard?

Partners from five different countries in the southern Baltic Sea region are currently working on the ‘BePacMan’ project and on making the packaging world more sustainable. After just over six months, the first results are already visible. You can find out more about this in the project's latest newsletter. For example, how much CO₂ is required for the production of cardboard boxes or what the difference is between kraftliner and testliner.

The BePacMan project aims to extend the life cycle of paper packaging. This is both commercially and ecologically attractive for small and medium-sized companies in particular. Within the project, the current situation is first analysed and evaluated in order to then develop practical solutions. The aim is to develop new concepts that improve the situation of trade and industry. The main target group therefore includes small and medium-sized enterprises, NGOs, regional authorities, logistics companies, but also the consumers themselves.
