Professor Bebensee will teach on the new Business Psychology degree programme, which starts in the winter semester of 2025, with a focus on personality psychology and diagnostics.
Born in Schleswig-Holstein, the 49-year-old studied psychology with a focus on work and organisational psychology at Kiel University, the University of Portsmouth (UK) and the University of Mannheim. As part of her doctorate in 2020 at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, she dealt with the topic "The explanation of leadership behaviour".
With many years of experience in human resources at well-known companies, most recently in the People Development & Culture department at TUI Germany, she has extensive knowledge of employee qualification and management diagnostics. At the same time, she has been teaching on the Business Psychology programme at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide for the past five years.
Prof Bebensee aims to make her teaching application-oriented and provide students with a vivid insight into the working world of business psychology. Her research focuses on the selection and development of personnel, especially with regard to the so-called person-job fit, whereby she pays particular attention to the changes in the world of work. She is also intensively involved in the measurement of leadership competences and performance and potential diagnostics.
