International Master Excursion

Students from the english taught master's program in International Management and students from the Erasmus+ program got the chance to see Europe's largest freight transportation center.

Accompanied by their course director Prof. Dr. Arnaout, our students were welcomed by Mr. Ivanov from GVZ Bremen. After a half-hour presentation, many questions were asked regarding the development company of the site, the concept and location of the GVZ, as well as the future development strategy in terms of sustainability and CO2 neutrality. Afterwards, Mr. Ivanov led a bus tour of the 475-hectare site, which offers the 160 companies located there the best logistical conditions. The day ended with impressions of huge warehouses and transshipment halls, storage areas with thousands and thousands of containers, and transshipment processes of goods between road and rail. We thank Mr. Ivanov for this experience and look forward to future exchanges, because already on the way back in the bus to Wismar plans were made for cooperating future master theses.
