Dr. Julia Rock, a long-time lecturer at the Wismar Business School, was granted an honorary professorship.
Senate Chair Prof. Dr. Krohn presented the award and congratulated Dr. Rock, who may now use the title "Professor". Prof. Dr. Bücker held the laudation in front of those present. The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Bodo Wiegand-Hoffmeister, as well as colleagues and Prof. Dr. Rock's father, who came with her to this memorable occasion, did not want to miss the opportunity to congratulate her in person.
Prof. Dr. Rock studied law at the University of Constance and then worked as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Rainer Hausmann. After being admitted to the Bar and obtaining her doctorate (Dr. jur.) from the University of Konstanz in 2010, she works at the Euler Hermes Aktiengesellschaft.
Since 2011, she has been a lecturer in business and logistics law in the Master's programme in Digital Logistics and Management at Wismar UAS. In addition, she has also been a lecturer for "Liability Risks in Corporate Legal Transactions" in the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration since 2017.
In her inaugural lecture on "Liability in Transport Law" in front of interested colleagues, Prof. Dr Rock demonstrated her broad knowledge and expertise in the field. We are pleased to have such a dedicated colleague at our faculty who is popular with the students. For the future, we look forward to continued good cooperation and congratulate Prof. Dr. Rock warmly.
